Geocache Description:

Historic Green Mountain Cemetery in Boulder Colorado

In the early part of last century, Boulder was about to run out of burial spaces. In 1904 David E. Dobbins formed the Boulder Cemetery Association and the Green Mountain Cemetery is the legacy. Very close to Chautauqua, the cemetery is of great historic significance. Nearby one can see the original “poor house” at 635 22nd Street. It was once part of the original parcel that eventually became subdivided into homes and the cemetery.

The coordinates are near a 3' granite sphere on the Skinner-Pulver family monument. Between that site and the road are two tombstones, one light gray and the other red granite. To prove that you visited the site, email me the family names on those two tombstones and tell me during which major war Samuel was born.

Go ahead and log your visit. I can delete any entries that are bogus. Be sure to email me the information so I do not delete any legitimate visits.
